Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing Workshop

Our Advanced Skills Motivational Interviewing workshop is designed to equip mental health care providers with foundational skills to foster meaningful conversations that promote positive change.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a collaborative, goal-oriented communication style that emphasizes understanding a client’s reasons for change within a supportive, compassionate framework. This workshop provides advanced training on core principles of MI, focusing on practical techniques to strengthen clients’ motivation and confidence in achieving their goals.

Participants will learn to apply key MI strategies – including the use of open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summaries (OARS+I) – to engage clients, explore ambivalence, and encourage commitment to change.

Join us to build your MI skills and improve your ability to guide clients through the process of change with empathy and effectiveness. Download a full course description [HERE].
