Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is an evidence-based PTSD treatment that helps clients reframe unhelpful trauma-related thoughts, fostering recovery and a return to meaningful living.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy is an evidence-based, gold-standard PTSD treatment that helps patients safely confront trauma-related memories and situations to reduce distress, shift beliefs, and reclaim their lives.

Written Exposure Therapy

Written Exposure Therapy (WET) is an evidenced-based, brief PTSD treatment involving guided written narratives to process trauma, achieve recovery, and reduce symptoms in just five sessions.

Suicide Prevention Trainings

Explore evidence-based strategies to reduce suicide risk among veterans. Training is available in Crisis Response Planning (CRP), which offers self-guided strategies for times of crisis, and Lethal Means Safety (LMS), an intervention focused on the voluntary secure storage of firearms and other lethal means.

Crisis Response Planning

Next Workshop: November 13, 2025

The Crisis Response Plan (CRP) is a brief intervention used to reduce suicide risk for individuals experiencing crisis. Our CRP workshops are offered at no cost and are open to any individual who supports veterans in work, as a volunteer, or peer, including veteran-serving mental health clinics and allies of veterans.

Lethal Means Safety

Next Workshop: November 17, 2025

Lethal Means Safety (LMS) is an evidence-based intervention, focused on improving the voluntary secure storage of firearms and other lethal means to help reduce suicidal behavior. Our LMS trainings are offered at no cost and are open to any individual who supports veterans in work, as a volunteer, or peer, including veteran-serving mental health clinics and allies of veterans.

Advanced Skills Workshops

Our Advanced Skills workshops are designed for mental health clinicians who have already trained in evidence-based PTSD and trauma treatments. These sessions offer a deeper dive into specialized areas of care, including complex nuances in trauma treatment and approaches for supporting those impacted by suicide loss. Culturally Responsive Trauma-Focused Therapy

Next Workshop: November 7, 2025

This training equips providers with strategies to integrate culturally responsive practices into evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE), helping them better understand and leverage clients’ unique cultural strengths.

Clinical Work with the Suicide Bereaved

Next Workshop: December 10, 2025

This training helps clinicians deepen their understanding of the unique challenges faced by those grieving a suicide loss, including the distinct aspects of suicide bereavement and how these experiences differ across various demographic groups.

Unraveling PTSD

Next Workshop: April 23, 2026

This training equips providers with skills to identify and target trauma-related beliefs using Socratic questioning. After completion of this training, mental health providers will be able to identify, formulate, prioritize, and successfully evaluate key beliefs that keep clients stuck in PTSD.
