Course Description:

In the period following separation from the military, service members face the challenge of transitioning to a post-military civilian life. Some evidence suggests these transitioning Veterans are at higher risk for suicide compared with both the broader Veteran population and the United States public, yet they often do not receive adequate support and resources.  The ETS Sponsorship through Onward Ops connects transitioning service members with trained sponsors from their destination community with a focus on the first 12 months of civilian life as a new Veteran.

Why This Training Matters:

Transitioning from military to civilian life is challenging, whether a service member has served for four years or forty. Sponsorship offers invaluable support during this period, helping veterans set goals and navigate their new path. By becoming a sponsor, you can play a vital role in empowering veterans, ensuring they have the resources and connections they need to thrive in their next chapter.
